Our primary shears are made out of a 440C class Cobalt Molybdenum Alloy which is stronger than traditional 440C class steel. Our comfort class shears are either made out of a 440C or other 440 class material. That said, what matters most is not the steel but who manufactures it. Focus more on who makes your shears not just what they are made out of. Who actually makes the shears accounts for a large percentage of the quality. In other words, even the best ingredients won't help you if you can't cook!
